EFLO SAF
EFLO SAF is a biological treatment process based on submerged aerated biofilter.
The 'heart' of the system is a structured and rigid pvc media with a very high specific surface area. This allows for high concentrations of attached biomass.
The unique flow patterns within the media ensure high rates of biological oxidation with relatively low retention time. Air bubble retention is prolonged and allows for exceptional oxygen transfer rates.
There are few moving parts within the plant allowing for low maintenance and operator demands.
Effluent results are typically better than 20 : 20 : 5 (mg/l BOD:TSS:NH4) and can be improved further with tertiary treatment.
EfloSAF treatment plants are available as pre fabricated package units or a stainless steel Modules for use within concrete tanks.
EfloSAF plants can be above ground or below.
EfloSAF has been used for new projects, side streams to existing plants to increase capacity and to increase effluent standards of under performing plants, in particular, to meet increased ammonia discharge limits.

30% removal of BOD & TSS through septic or primary settling tank
