EFLOMBR

The membrane bioreactor has the smallest foot print of any sewage treatment plant. It also dispenses with a settlement tank and requires very little post treatment disinfection since the ultra-filtration mem-branes are a barrier to bacteria and viruses.

So, apart from the specialised membranes, the process is deceptively simple. A trap many MBR manufacturers have fallen into. Eflo have developed specialised biomass screening to prevent the accumulation of Hair and Fibre Reinforced Biomass HFRB ™ or "rags" which is the prime cause of membrane fouling.

Eflo are now operating some of the largest MBR plants in the Middle East without the need for periodic membrane removal and cleaning.
